UNIVERSITY SPORT SCHOLARSHIP
The University Sports Scholarships are provided to support elite athletes in their academic and sporting lives throughout their time at University, whether they are potential Olympians or competing at a county or national level. All elite athletes who are studying at the University are eligible to apply for a sports scholarship. These scholarships are open to any student in any year studying any subject. Students receive services according to an agreed action plan.

ALUMNI SPORT SCHOLARSHIP

Funded by individual alumnus of the University, these scholarships are sports specific. Currently there are two available for squash and cricket - The Alumni Sport Scholarships; again these are open to any student in any year studying any subject. Scholarships are worth £2500 per year.

PARTNERSHIP SPORT SCHOLARSHIP

The Leeds-Hymers Scholarship has been designed specifically for Hymers College students who have shown an aptitude in sporting and academic performance during their time at school and who wish to fulfil their sporting and academic ambitions whilst at University. The purpose of the scholarship is to provide a continuing level of support for the athlete both before and during their transition into higher education, allowing them to maintain a focus on their sport and study. Scholars are awarded up to £750 per year.

TASS
The Talented Athlete Scholarship Scheme, or TASS as it is better known, is a Government funded programme that represents a unique partnership between sport and higher and further education. The programme awards Scholarships and Bursaries to talented athletes that are committed to combining their sport and education. It aims to reduce the drop out of talented athletes from sport and supports and develops the talent of today for sporting success in the future.

The Sports Scholarship Scheme at the University of Leeds works in conjunction with TASS, in providing support for athletes at the University. Many of our current athletes are on both schemes.

The LEEDS Sports Scholarship Scheme

This is a new scholarship designed to help encourage students from low income backgrounds who are playing sport at a high standard to enter the University of Leeds. Up to a value of £1500 a year.
